CHAMBER FILTER PLATES
The recessed chamber filter plate made from polypropylene originated from the plate and frame filter plates. The application and filtration conditions dictate the cake thickness and plate thickness. The Klinkau Chamber Filter Plate can also be supplied in caulked and gasketed design (CGR).

Polypropylene became the material of choice for chamber filter plates due to relative low initial cost, excellent chemical and corrosion resistance, and light weight handling.
ADVANTAGES OF THE KLINKAU CHAMBER FILTER PLATES
Fixed volume recess depth
The recessed area of the chamber filter plate is molded with conical pips. The surface of the pips provides support for the filter cloths and provides a drain path for the filtrate to exit to the filtrate discharge port.
The chamber filter plate can be supplied with customer requested feed eye arrangement.
The sealing surface of the chamber filter plates are machined parallel to seal when the plates are pressurized.

CHAMBER FILTER PLATE DESIGN HR
This new type of chamber filter plate originated within our development activities to decrease production costs without any compromises in quality. We are prepared to pass these cost savings to our customers.

The HR design is available in the sizes 470, 500, 630, 800 and 1000 mm.
ADVANTAGES OF THE CHAMBER FILTER PLATE DESIGN HR
Active filtration area even on the sealing edge and at the chamfer of the staybosses
Open and closed filtration in just one plate type, hence less costs for inventory.
Stress relieved molding process with well proven raw material and no additives compared to injection- or intrusion molding, which show high frozen-in tensions.
The stress relieved molding technique ensures little or no material deterioration whereas it can easily occur during injection- or intrusion molding.
Pipped filtration surface versus machined and grooved chamber filter plate which enables even filtration due to better distribution of the filtrate behind the cloth.

Different sizes available upon request
Feed eye positon Standard: center feed, decentralized feed eye, corner feed, external feed eye

In general any feed eye arrangement is possible and can be designed according to individual customer requirements.
Pressure Standard products are suited for a maximum filtration pressure of 7 bar or 16 bar depending on the design. Special designs for pressures of 30 bar and higher are available.
Temperature The maximum allowed filtration temperature depends on the filtration pressure, the chemical composition of the slurry to be filtered, the cycle time and the choice of material.
Materials Depending on the application Klinkau Chamber Filter Plates are manufactured of Polypropylene (homopolymers/copolymers) or special material modifications.
